LEAF-MANAGED SCHOLARSHIPS
LEAF works with local scholarship providers to administer the award of scholarships each year. We appreciate our scholarship sponsors for their generosity in helping our students fund their postsecondary education.
Below are the scholarships offered in 2025 for the 2025-26 academic year along with the scholarship recipients. Congratulations to all the students who received a LEAF-managed scholarship this year!
ABB Engineering Scholarship
$1,250 (2 available) | Application due 03/28/2025
This scholarship is for high school seniors planning to major in one of the following courses of study: Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Development/Design. The student must be graduating from a Lake, Geauga, Portage, Cuyahoga County high school, and attending a 4-year college/university in the state of Ohio. 2025 Recipients: Keegan Broyles, Aurora High School and Brandon Schneider, Lutheran West High School
ELCCC Scholarship
$500 | Application due 03/28/2025
The Eastern Lake County Chamber of Commerce scholarship is for high school seniors graduating from Mentor High School only. The applicant must reside in Lake County, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, enrolled full-time in a 2- or 4-year accredited institution or an accredited vocational/technical school. 2025 Recipient: Sarah Blakemore, Mentor High School
Frank Jason Feola, Ph.D. Legacy Scholarship
$500 Renewable | Application due 03/28/2025
This scholarship is for graduating seniors from a Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga County high school, or homeschooled. Must be a U.S. Citizen, have a minimum GPA of 2.0, be enrolled in a 2- or 4-year accredited institution or accredited vocational/technical school. 2025 Recipient: Samuele Gordon, Kirtland High School

Harriet B. Storrs Scholarship
Up to 5 Awards of up to $3,500 | Application due 03/28/2025
This scholarship is for graduating seniors that reside in Painesville City, Painesville Township, or have a mailing zip code of 44077 (not high school specific). Applicant must be working toward an associate or bachelor’s degree, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, meet household income criteria, be accepted at an accredited postsecondary school other than Lakeland Community College or Lake Erie College, and be enrolled at least half-time. 2025 Recipients: Alan Alvardo, Thomas W. Lakeland Area Counselors Assn (LACA) Scholarship

This scholarship is for high school seniors graduating from an Ashtabula, Lake, or Geauga County high school with a current LACA member employed by the school district (check with your school counselor). Minimum GPA of 2.5, enrolled in a certificate program, technical/vocational college, 2-year or 4-year institution in the 2025-2026 academic school year. 2025 Recipient: Luke Barbo, Geneva High School
Vincent L. Petro Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for a graduating senior from Mentor High School only. Applicant must reside in Lake County, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and must be enrolled full-time in a 2- or 4-year accredited institution or an accredited vocational/technical school. 2025 Recipient: Noah Conley, Mentor High School
WRJSL Scholarship
One or more award(s) not totaling more than $1,000 | Application due 05/30/2025
This scholarship is for adult females who reside in Lake, Geauga, or Ashtabula County. Must be a U.S. Citizen, out of high school for at least two years, experienced an interruption in post-high school education, enrolled in an accredited institution for the next term at least part-time, working toward an associate or bachelor’s degree, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate financial need. Current and former members of the WRJSL are welcome to apply.
Willis E. Kelly Music Scholarship
Multiple available, $1,000 each | Application due 03/28/2025
This scholarship is for students who are a resident of Geauga County for a minimum of two years, and attended school (at any grade level) for a minimum of two years at a Geauga County school. Applicant must be attending an accredited 2 or 4 year college/university, have evidence of commitment to the pursuit of a musical education, demonstrate financial need, have evidence of significant leadership potential and willingness to contribute time and talent to the community, and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. 2025 Recipients: Kyle McMahan, Kenston High School; Lauren Palacek, West Geauga High School; and Jacob Spencer, Kenston High School
Willoughby South Alumni Scholarship

This scholarship is for graduating seniors from Willoughby South High School only. Cumulative GPA of 3.0, participated in at least two extracurricular activities per year while in high school, enrolled full-time in an accredited 2- or 4-year college/university, trade or technical school, and performed 10 community service hours during your junior and senior years of high school. 2025 Recipient: Mariam Salti, Willoughby South High School
