Willoughby South Alumni Scholarship

This scholarship is for graduating seniors from Willoughby South High School only who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, participated in at least two extracurricular activities per year while in high school, are enrolled full-time in an accredited 2- or 4-year college/university, trade or technical school, and performed 10 community service hours during their junior and senior years of high school.

Qualifications:

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
– Must be a graduating Senior from Willoughby South High School

– Cumulative GPA of 3.0
– Participated in at least two extracurricular activities per year while in high school
– Must be enrolled full-time in an accredited 2 or 4 year college/university, trade or technical school
– Must have performed 10 community service hours during your junior and senior years of high school

SELECTION CRITERIA: Qualified candidates will be judged on the following:
– Completed application
– Evidence of participation in at least two extracurricular activities per year while in high school
– Copy of your transcript, showing your cumulative GPA of 3.0
– Letter of recommendation from South High School faculty member who can articulate your service to the community
– Scholarships/Grants and the amounts that you received or are pending

DEADLINE:  The application and all documents must be received in our office not later than
Friday, March 28, 2025. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Lake/Geauga Educational Assistance Foundation (LEAF) administers this scholarship. LEAF representatives, not associated with the Willoughby South Alumni Scholarship, will select the recipient(s) to ensure objectivity and confidentiality. All applicants are notified by email. The selection process may take several weeks.
