Resettled Refugee Visible Voice Scholarship

THE 2026 APPLICATION HAS CLOSED. Scholarship for a high school senior who is a resettled refugee living in Cuyahoga County and who intends to enroll full-time at an accredited public or private not-for-profit institution in Cuyahoga County. This award is renewable for up to 4 years.

Qualifications:

The applicant must:
– Be a graduating high school senior

– Be a resettled refugee living in Cuyahoga County

– Intend to enroll full-time at an accredited public or private not-for-profit higher educational institution in Cuyahoga County

– Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA

– Provide high school transcript, his/her financial aid award letter, and a letter of recommendation from a teacher, case worker, or community leader

– Write a one-page essay on your resettlement experience to the United State, why you should be selected to receive this scholarship, and how you plan to use this education to give back to your community.
