Blackbrook Audubon Society

Scholarship for a graduating high school senior or current college student who is a permanent resident of Ashtabula, Geauga or Lake County and wishes to pursue a degree in Environmental studies, Ornithology, Forestry, Wildlife Biology, Sustainable Agriculture, or related fields.

Qualifications:

Applicants seeking an associate or bachelor’s degree must also:
– Be a permanent resident of Ashtabula, Geauga or Lake County.

– Submit documentation of college acceptance/enrollment

– Have a transcript showing a minimum 3.00 GPA

– Provide record of community environmental activities

– Provide a statement of intent to complete the chosen degree program in Environmental studies, Ornithology, Forestry, Wildlife Biology, Sustainable Agriculture, or related fields. Such studies should align with the group’s mission statement “To promote conservation and restoration of ecosystems with emphasis on birds and habitats through education and advocacy within Ohio’s Ashtabula, Lake and Geauga counties.”
