Cavaliers Scholarship Program (supported by Huntington)

Five scholarships for graduating high school seniors with a permanent residence in Northeast Ohio who are committed to attending college, vocational/trade school, or similar education that will provide a certificate or degree. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, outstanding community service, financial need, and an interview. In addition, five (5) semifinalists will receive a $1,000 Huntington savings account.
Qualifications:

To be eligible, applicants must:
(1) be a graduating high school senior with a permanent residence in Northeast Ohio and committed to attending college, vocational/trade school, or similar education that will provide a certificate or degree.

(2) attend high school in one of the following counties in the State of Ohio: Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Holmes, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, or Wayne.

(3) complete the official Scholarship Program entry form online and provide a copy of their high school transcript reflecting academic achievement through their junior year, a letter of recommendation from a faculty member at their high school, a 500 word essay on the following prompt: “Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others,” and, if required or requested by the accredited school a student plans to attend, SAT or ACT scores.
