Horatio Alger Association Scholarships

APPLICATION OPENS 12/01/25. Seventeen (17) scholarships for Ohio high school juniors who exhibit a strong commitment to pursuing a bachelor’s degree, display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, have critical financial need, are involved in co-curricular and community service activities, and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Must be a US citizen.

Qualifications:

Applicant must:
– Be enrolled full time as a high school junior in Ohio
– Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States immediately after high school graduation (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
– Demonstrate financial need ($65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
– Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
– Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
– Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
– Be a United States citizen
