Scholarship for a student pursuing a postsecondary education with the intent to work in a law enforcement or supporting career. The family of Special Agent Joe Russ is offering this award to help ensure a continuous stream of talented candidates in law enforcement careers, reflective of the FBI’s goal for greater diversity, fulfillment of skill gaps, and outstanding leadership,
Qualifications:
The applicant must:
– Plan to attend a two- or four-year college in 2026-27 (Current high school seniors can apply with proof of acceptance to a university for the fall semester.) Preference given to applicants with a Northern Ohio family connection and/or who are studying in Ohio.
– Have interest in working in law enforcement: for example as an investigator, agent, detective, forensic scientist, intelligence analyst, or in information technology.
