The Andy Nowacki Foundation Scholarship
Scholarships (awarded quarterly) to those seeking to serve their communities as peace officers, firefighters, EMTs, or nurses. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on a combination of community involvement, dedication to service, grade point average and strong moral character.

Scholarships are awarded to cover the tuition for police, fire and EMS/Paramedic training or nursing programs up to $5,000
Qualifications:

Applicants must be pursuing careers as (1) first responders (Police, Firefighter, Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician) or (2) nursing.

Applicants must be attending Northeast Ohio (NEO) institutions geographically located in Lake, Cuyahoga, Lorain, Geauga, Ashtabula, Northern Summit and Northern Portage counties.

Sample institutions for nursing programs include Lakeland Community College (LCC), Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), Ursuline, John Carroll, Akron (ASU) and Kent State University (KSU). Sample institutions for Police, Fire and EMT/Paramedic include LCC, Tri-C, ASU/Sherriff, KSU, other NEO municipal police/fire academies, University Hospital EMS Education at Parma Medical Center, Auburn Career Center.

Applicants should intend to serve in Northeast Ohio post completion of their instruction for a number of years serving the community as Andy Nowacki did, continuing his legacy in the area.

Applicants must interview in person on the Saturday morning scheduled for the cycle they applied in.
