Harriet B. Storrs Scholarship Renewal

This scholarship for previous recipients of the Harriet B. Storrs Scholarship. The applicant must be working toward an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree. Students must meet a minimum grade point average of 2.5, be attending an accredited post-secondary school other than Lakeland Community College or Lake Erie College (stipulated in granter documents), and must be attending at least half-time the academic year to be eligible. You must be a resident in the 44077 zip code area.

Qualifications:

To be eligible to apply for a renewal of a Harriet B. Storrs Fund Scholarship, all applicants must meet all the following eligibility requirements:

1. You must be a previous recipient of a Harriet B. Storrs Fund Scholarship.
2. The applicant must be working toward an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
3. Students must meet minimum grade point average of 2.5.
4. Student must be attending an accredited post-secondary school other than Lakeland Community College or
Lake Erie College* and must attend at least half-time during the academic year to be eligible (Stipulated in granter documents).
5. You must be a resident in the 44077 zip code area.

Please read the following GUIDELINES:

1. All scholarships awarded will be payable to the school.
2. All decisions are final and not subject to additional review or appeal.
3. Awards are to be used for the upcoming academic year or forfeited. Receipt of a Storrs Scholarship for any
term or year does not guarantee receipt of a Storrs Scholarship grant monies in any additional term or year.
4. Students will be expected to maintain a grade point average of 2.5 while receiving the Storrs Scholarship.
5. SAI from FAFSA 25.
6. It is your obligation to notify the LEAF Office of any changes in the information you have provided on this
application.
7. Lake/Geauga Educational Assistance Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, creed,

8. Recipients may be eligible to receive a Harriet B. Storrs Fund Scholarship for 8 semesters (12 quarters) of
enrollment. Recipients who withdraw for a brief period of no more than 2 semesters (3 quarters) are still
eligible if all other terms have been met.
9. You must be a resident in the 44077 zip code area.

DOCUMENTATION:

1. Harriet B. Storrs Scholarship Renewal Application, completed and signed.
2. An Official Transcript showing your cumulative grade point average.
3. Copy of all pages of SAI from FAFSA 25.
4. Official Financial Aid Award Notification from the college/school you will be attending.
5. Official Upcoming Winter/Spring Class Schedule.

Your application and documentation must be received in our office no later than Friday, August 1, 2025. You are encouraged to mail your complete application in early.

Lake/Geauga Educational Assistance Foundation (LEAF) administers this scholarship. LEAF representatives, not associated with the Harriet B. Storrs Renewal Scholarship, will select the recipient(s) to ensure objectivity and confidentiality. All applicants are notified by email. The selection process may take several weeks.
