Princeton Prize in Race Relations
The Princeton Prize in Race Relations operates through its 25 Regional Committees (which includes a Committee for the Cleveland Region) and an At-Large National Committee. Applicants within the geographic boundaries of these regions have the opportunity to win the Prize.
Applicants must:
– Be currently enrolled in grades 9-12 in the United States.
– Have both parts of the application completed by the deadline:
Part One: To be completed by the applicant detailing how they have demonstrated leadership in advancing racial equity or promoting racial understanding in their schools and communities.
Part Two: To be completed by your sponsor – a teacher, advisor, community or religious leader, or other responsible adult — who is not related to you — and who oversaw your project or who has directly witnessed your project’s outcome.
– If selected, it may be necessary for you to provide a U.S. taxpayer identification number.
Applicants will be evaluated based on:
– The significance of your activity and how, through action and service, you have demonstrated leadership in advancing racial equity or promoting racial understanding in your school and community
– Your role in the activity
– The scope and impact of your activity on your school or community
