Roddick Fund Scholarship
The Roddick Fund Scholarship is for residents of the Painesville area, residing or attending high school in the 44077 and 44045 postal zones. Applicants must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Catherine Roddick graduated from Painesville High School (now Thomas W. Harvey High School) in 1913. After working in Cleveland for many years, Miss Roddick returned to Painesville in 1945. In 1981 she established The Roddick Fund for educational purposes in the Painesville area. In 1987 she left a large part of her estate to increase this fund. Her estate was accumulated by a frugal lifestyle. Hence, these scholarships are awarded as a result of her conservative living and financial awareness
