Dr. Joe Glavan, Director of Workforce Development at Mentor Public Schools, joined LEAF's Board of Directors on February 28, 2025. Joe's passion for helping students gain the skills and work-based learning experiences necessary to be college, career, and life ready will help LEAF further its mission within the schools we serve.  

LEAF hosted Conversations on November 25, 2024 at Tall Oaks Resort in Kirtland, Ohio. This event brought together local educators, businesses and government officials to discuss how to better support learners in preparing for tomorrow’s workforce.

LEAF’s 2024-25 Scholarship Search database is now live on LEAF’s website, featuring local and statewide scholarship opportunities for students in the communities that LEAF serves.

LEAF’s Technical Career Toolkit, featuring profiles on local training and education opportunities for 26 in-demand technical careers, is now available for student access on LEAF’s website.

LEAF has appointed new Board Officers for the 2024-25 academic year. Megan Krippel, Director of Regional Recruitment for Kent State University, will now serve as board president.

LEAF is excited to collaborate with Lakeland Community College, The University of Akron, and Ursuline College as charter members to our 2024-25 University Partners program.
